Dr. Venugopalan PP is a pioneering figure in Emergency Medicine in India, widely recognized as the Father of Emergency Medicine in Kerala. With over three decades of clinical, academic, and administrative experience, he serves as the Director of Emergency Medicine at Aster DM Healthcare and leads the Aster Medical Simulation Center. He has played an instrumental role in shaping emergency care systems across India, establishing postgraduate training programs, simulation centers, and large-scale public health initiatives like the ANGELS EMS network. A decorated educator, published author, and national awardee, Dr. Venu continues to lead innovation in emergency care, trauma response, disaster preparedness, and simulation-based training.
