Dr. Mona Mohammed Abdu Salam is recognized as a qualified ophthalmologist with specialized training in Medical Retina and Vitreoretinal Surgery. A Master of Surgery (MS) in Ophthalmology has been obtained from Kerala University of Health Sciences, complemented by fellowships completed across leading eye care institutions in India. A strong foundation in both surgical and non-surgical ophthalmic care is thereby established.
Clinical experience has been gained across tertiary academic hospitals, NABH-accredited facilities, and specialized eye centres, enabling the development of adaptability and the depth of expertise required to function effectively within a multispeciality hospital environment. Extensive experience is demonstrated in the management of complex retinal diseases, the performance of cataract and vitreoretinal surgeries, and collaborative work within multidisciplinary teams, including specialties such as endocrinology (diabetic retinopathy), neonatology (retinopathy of prematurity), and neurology (neuro-ophthalmology).
