A true entrepreneur and philanthropist, Shabana Faizal is the Vice Chairperson of KEF Holdings, an industry-agnostic, privately-owned, family company steeped in more than 25 years of innovation and shaped by a mission to be different and make a difference. She is also the Co-Founder and Vice Chairperson of the Faizal & Shabana Foundation, which is committed to initiating positive change and creating lasting impact by continuously striving to be catalysts for the creation of an equitable, happier and better tomorrow. 

Shabana’s entrepreneurial journey began in 1995 as a retailer of unique, specialty and luxury products. After leading the company for eight successful years, she decided to team up with her husband, entrepreneur Faizal Kottikollon, and support him in running the world-class foundry, Emirates Techno Casting (ETC).

Shabana took charge of all human resources and administrative processes at ETC, where she created a significant impact in shaping the company’s business success. In her role as Vice Chairperson of KEF Holdings, she is actively involved in guiding the business’ growth strategy across global markets. Deeply committed to social improvement, Shabana and her husband founded the Faizal & Shabana Foundation in 2007, with the vision of ‘Giving to Create Impact’.

At Faizal & Shabana Foundation, numerous sustainable initiatives have been introduced, focusing on education and youth intervention, healthcare and wellness support, community outreach and support, regenerative sustainable development, humanitarian aid and assistance, and art and culture development. To date, the foundation has supported and empowered more than 25 community initiatives, donated in excess of $20 million and impacted hundreds of thousands of lives.

Despite her achievements, Shabana continues to dedicate her time and resources to causes close to her heart, believing that there is a lot more work yet to be done to create an equitable community and a better tomorrow for everyone.
