Department Overview

The department will focus on young and new onset diabetes to stress in the prevention of diabetic complications and in difficult and brittle diabetes, to optimize their blood sugar control with the use of modern advances in diabetic therapeutics including insulin pumps.

Department is well equipped to deal with all sorts of thyroid diseases. Pituitary disorders often treated in the Endocrine department are Hypopituitorism, Hypophysitis, Hyperprolactinemia(High Prolactin levels), Cushings syndrome and Acromegaly . Endocrinology department will also deal with disorders of growth and puberty(Delayed or early puberty), Adrenal and Gonadal diseases including Hypogonadism and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Disorders of calcium, phosphorus and bone mineral metabolism will also be managed in the Endocrine department. These include low and high calcium levels, low phosphorous level, osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets and other metabolic bone diseases leading to week bones.
