MEITRA Hospital launches Centre of Excellence for Neurosciences

The Centre, which is South India’s most advanced destination for neuro care, will offer world-class care in the realms of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Neuro Intervention.

Kozhikode: MEITRA Hospital, South India’s leading advanced tertiary hospital, has launched the Centre of Excellence for Neurosciences on February 3rd Saturday. The Centre was inaugurated by Dr. Steven Cramer, Professor, Department of Neurology, Anatomy, Neurobiology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, University of California. Congratulating the MEITRA team Dr. Steven Cramer shared, “It is great to see such an advanced facility for Neuroscience in India. Having visited, lectured and trained at renowned facilities worldwide, I am pleased to share that MEITRA has the latest technology at their facility. This combined with some of the best minds in India in Neurosciences the center is sure to set a benchmark not only in India but globally.”

The Centre has the latest equipment and unique care path model to achieve successful medical outcomes. The departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Neuro Intervention working as a team under the Centre for Neurosciences, will offer world-class care in the respective realms. The departments have well equipped and highly experienced medical team, comprising of neurosurgeons, interventionists, neurologists, anesthesiologists and highly-trained nursing and support staff.

The Centre of Excellence for Neurological Sciences has an advanced individual intensive care facility, highly sophisticated and full-fledged trauma care facility, 24/7 emergency neurosurgery services and state-of-the-art Neuro ICU at par with global benchmark standards. It is also provided with a highly specialized Cath lab equipped with world’s best and latest hardware and interventional software accessories. The services of dedicated and experienced senior interventionists are available round-the-clock to treat patients with head injuries and multi-organ injuries. The International Standard Spinal Cord Injury Management Unit is a specialized division of the centre, which is complemented by a world-class rehabilitation therapy centre.
